Privacy Policy
Effective October 10, 2026. Saint Buddy de Paws is a small, owner-operated pet care business in the Tampa Bay area. This page explains, in plain language, what information we collect, how we use it and the choices you have. We never sell your information.
Information we collect
- When you send a message: your name, phone number, service address, the best time to call you, the services you're interested in, and any comments you add.
- When you join our newsletter: your email address.
- When you become a client: the details in your service agreement and pet care profile, such as your pets' health and vet information, emergency contacts and home access instructions.
- Automatically, when you visit: basic technical information such as your device and browser type, pages visited and an approximate location from your IP address. Our web host records this to keep the site running and secure.
How we use it
- To call you back, answer questions and schedule your free meet & greet
- To care for your pets and home, and to send you visit updates
- To send invoices, receipts and booking reminders
- To send our monthly newsletter, only if you signed up
- To keep the website working and protect it from spam
Your home and your pets
- House keys are coded and never labeled with your name or address.
- Alarm and door codes are never written on paper forms. They're stored privately and deleted when you end service.
- Photos of your pets are sent to you privately. We post them publicly only with your written permission on our Photo & Video Use Release, and never in a way that shows where you live or that you're away.
Who we share it with
We don't sell, rent or trade your information. We share it only:
- With services that help us run the business, only so they can do that job: website hosting (Cloudflare), contact form delivery (Web3Forms), our newsletter (Kit) and payments (Square for cards, Zelle and Venmo).
- In an emergency, with your veterinarian or emergency contacts, as your service agreement allows.
- When the law requires it, such as a valid court order.
- If the business is ever sold, with the new owner, and we'll tell you first.
How long we keep it
- Messages from people who don't book: deleted after 12 months.
- Client records: kept while you use our services and for up to 5 years afterward for legal and tax purposes.
- Alarm codes and home access details: deleted when you end service.
- Newsletter emails: kept until you unsubscribe.
How we protect it
Client information is kept in password-protected accounts that only Alex can access. Card payments are handled by our payment processor; we never store card numbers. No method of storing or sending information is completely secure, but we take reasonable care to protect yours.
Your choices
- Newsletter: unsubscribe anytime with the link at the bottom of every email.
- See, correct or delete your information: email [email protected] and we'll respond within 30 days. We may need to keep some records, such as signed agreements and payment records, as the law requires.
- Photos: withdraw photo permission anytime by text or email.
Children
Our website is for adults booking pet care. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13, and we'll delete it if we learn we have.
Links to other websites
Our site links to services such as Google, Facebook and our newsletter provider. Their own privacy policies apply when you use them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in our newsletter.
